Spiritual Warfare through Generosity

There are two principles of Spiritual Warfare through generosity are:

• 1. Living a lifestyle of extravagant generosity by becoming the answer to other people's needs.

• 2. Giving an offering for spiritual breakthrough

Money is a way we can garner breakthrough in the Spirit. Breakthrough is an offensive thrust that penetrates and carries beyond a defensive line in warfare, an act or instance of breaking through an obstacle, a sudden advance especially in knowledge or technique.

Generosity is different than giving for breakthrough. Generosity is a lifestyle, but breakthrough giving is a concentrated, one time event to create a hole in the supernatural. Breakthrough is generating and affecting a sudden progress in stubborn areas, in arenas that have resisted change." God will give us what He can entrust through us.

Breakthrough can be facilitated by extravagant offering! An extravagant offering punctures a hole through the spirit realm releasing the blessings of God! God gave His Son, His Spirit, and has given Himself! "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,' "says the Lord of hosts," 'if I will not open for you the windows of Heaven, and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows (there is not room enough). Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it may not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,' say the Lord of hosts" (Malachi 3:10-12).

How do we develop a lifestyle of generosity? We do this by giving sacrificially for sudden breakthroughs. We give where it hurts! Generosity is a method of spiritual warfare. Money touches on our position of spirituality. "If you have not been trustworthy with someone else's property, who will give you true riches?" (Matthew 16:1). If we do not pass the test of finances, God will NOT entrust us with greater riches! We will disqualify ourselves from spiritual maturity, for being promoted to the next level in the realms of the spirit. In Acts 10, Cornelius encountered an angel due to his giving, not just his prayers! He wasn't even a believer yet! This shows what can happen with generous giving. Cornelius caught the heart of God!

An offering effects three hearts.

1. The first heart is ours. We have a connection, a new perspective, and an added interest! Money will bring breakthrough to the un-surrendered areas of our hearts. God's love IS unconditional, however the majority of His blessings ARE conditional! The word "if" appears more than 1,600 times from Genesis to Revelations. IF you seek me... IF you humble yourself... IF you give... IF my people...

2. The second heart is God's. It brings delight to His heart and releases Him to pour out extravagant blessings on us. Your giving means something to God; it moves His heart to pour out blessings on you and bring breakthrough for you!

3. The third heart is the enemy's. It weakens the heart of the enemy and his strategies to rob, steal, and destroy!
