What is the Kingdom of God?

What is the Kingdom of God??

It is the King's Domain. Dominion is the power to rule, or control a country, or a region. It is the land a ruler or a government control. The Gospel of the Kingdom is ultimately a message about a King who died for His enemies (salvation) so that those who believe in Him would inherit the very Kingdom He purchased for them. Salvation is mentioned in the New Testament 43 times. Salvation is the act of saving someone from sin or evil; the state of being saved from sin or evil. Salvation will lead us to the Kingdom. It is the foyer in the Kingdom of God. In return for that purchase they would have control and rule over the King's territory. "And I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven." (Matthew 16:19) We are ambassadors of God's Kingdom! The lowest person in His Kingdom has more power than the wealthiest person in the world! Mark 10:25 tells us; "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God."

The Trinity's secret plan was to bring the Kingdom of God back to earth and return the right of dominion to humankind so that man could regain the lost Kingdom. "Jesus said to him, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62). One day it will be an actual Kingdom, the Kingdom of God today is the reign of Christ in the hearts of men and women. "Therefore say I unto you the Kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17:21). That reign releases His unique plan for our lives; a purpose that will give us an "abundant life" and manifest God's purpose on earth. It is a return to God's original intention for humankind to "have dominion" over all the earth as stewards or "caretakers" for its Creator and owner, God.

"Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it." (Mark 10:15). Esther, an orphan girl, was in the kingdom of Persia but she carried the Kingdom and released it to a king and saved a nation and transformed a nation in a day! "And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick." (Luke 9:2).

The Kingdom of God intersects humankind at its place of need, and it has the answers for all the needs of humankind. "And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19). The Kingdom of God is not a religion or a euphemism for Heaven, it is a realm, a relationship, and a rule. It is real. Everyone has heard the expression, "actions speak louder than words." Those on assignment to the kingdoms of culture "preach" God's Kingdom with their presence, actions, and sometimes even with their words. They are preaching their mountain by merely taking the fruit of the Spirit to their coworkers as they respond to opportunities to love, heal, show mercy, raise the dead, share joy, and deliver from bondages. We can then say as Jesus said: "The Kingdom of God has come near to you." (Luke 10:9).

What are you preaching with your actions and words?
