We are FAMILY at Family of Faith Community Church. We are not Halfway Baptist Church, St. Mary's Baptist Church, Run For Your Life International Chapel, Boring United Methodist Church, Flippin Church of God, The First Church of Awesome Works, The Cowboy Church, Original Church of God, or even Undenominational Holiness Church of Cove City (these really are names of churches), but FAMILY of FAITH.
Now, in a family you have fathers and mothers. Family is the Government of Heaven. Within that Government you have Apostles. They have governmental authority to go into a conquered land and recreate its culture in a way that is compatible with the new government. An Apostle is one who builds a Kingdom Culture that will host the King.
Apostle: one sent on a mission, is one whom God has sent on an errand or with a message.
An Apostle is accountable to his/her Sender, and carries the authority of his/her Sender. They have the authority of the King, representing the King’s Kingdom.
One of the main ways God provides leadership in His Kingdom is through fathers. For this reason, the spirit of Elijah must come and restore "the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers." Otherwise, the "great and dreadful Day of the Lord" which is coming would consume us and "strike the earth with a curse" (Mal. 4:5-6, Luke 1:17). These final words in the Old Testament point to God's Father Leadership in His kingdom. Fathering involves the loving heart attitude displayed in raising children. A father is always around through thick and thin. He exhorts, encourages, empowers, comforts and sometimes chastens when it is necessary (1 Thess. 2:11, Heb. 12:7-11), but only after establishing a son or daughter through much encouragement. A father will not forsake you when you fail, or leave you when a disagreement arises. A father will not only go into battle with you, he will lead the way (Joshua 1:5-9).
Spiritual fathering is the major leadership method for building the body of Christ. The words "father" and "fathers" appear in the KJV Bible 1,484 times. Needless to say, the Scriptures have much to say about fathers. Fathering is more than just raising children; it is the very plan and order for God's leadership. God is our ultimate Father! 2 Corinthians 6:18 tells us, "I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, say the Lord Almighty." Sons and daughters in alignment with spiritual mothers and fathers receive authority over the land, region, and territory they are dwell in. "I will make you a great nation. I will give you a great name" (Genesis 12:2). Our Heavenly Father wants us to be great, not lousy. You have been called to be great to make everything around you great. As spiritual sons and daughters we get as much as we want.
I personally had to learn the impacts of a father in my life. I gave Dad Leif the position to shift my thinking and paradigm. I gave him place to impact my life for the Kingdom. Leif would speak things, and I would believe it! Dad Leif has believed in me at times when I didn't believe in myself. He has pulled the gold out of me, and he saw things in me that I didn't see in myself. I have learned so much from my spiritual father that I do not have to unlearn. He didn't just pastor me, or even mentor me, but he has fathered me. He is and was a father speaking into my life.
My passion is to empower Father God's sons and daughters! 90% of my ministry at FFCC has been aligning us as sons and daughters of Father God. Let me clarify that this must not be manufactured, but it is organic! "DO LIFE" and it will cultivate itself.
We need apostolic fathers and mothers all over the world! We need to pray the churches all over the world receive a revelatory transformation in regard to apostolic fathers and mothers.
